Discussion of Our Last Best Act: Planning for the End of Our Lives by Mallory McDuff, followed by a presentation about advance care planning

Join us to explore ideas presented in Our Last Best Act: Planning for the End of Our Lives, written by Mallory McDuff, which discusses options for aligning end-of-life choices with personal values. Following the book discussion, information will be presented about advance care planning as a tool for making choices about future health care.

Limited copies of the book may be borrowed by request; call your Library and ask for the “Intentional Aging book kit” to confirm availability. To borrow an eBook, search Our Last Best Act in the catalog at www.nols.org or use the Libby app. All are welcome to join the discussion! It is not required to read the book in advance.

Each month this group will explore an activity, welcome a presenter, or discuss a book. For book discussion months, books will be made available to check out at your branch or you may check out ebooks through the Washington Anytime Library.

Emails will be sent out with reminders of when to pick up any related materials. Registration for one month will register you for all and the Zoom link will be the same for all meetings.

For book discussions, there will be a limited number of book copies available. Books will be checked out on a first come, first served basis. Please try to limit your checkout of physical copies to 2 weeks to allow other participants an opportunity to access materials.
