Many people
are experiencing a wide range of responses to how climate change is affecting
our communities and our lives. This presentation will introduce a common
language and knowledge about the range of reactions people are reporting and strategies
to take towards personal and community resilience.
About the Presenter
Melanie has
a MA in Environment and Community and has been working with WSU Extension as
the 4-H Program Coordinator for about four years. She knows that building a
stronger, more resilient community is a key factor in improving the environment
and all of our lives. She enjoys empowering youth to create the kind of
community they want to live in. She has completed the Path to Becoming Trauma
Informed certification from the WSU Child and Family Research Unit and uses
this to help inform community building efforts.
